The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating after an inmate was found dead in the Stephens County Jail on Sunday morning.

According to the OSBI, another inmate found the deceased inmate alone and unresponsive in a cell and began life-saving measures, but officials say they had already died.

While investigators have not formally identified the inmate, posts to Facebook, and friends who have reached out to News 9 identified the inmate as Mickey Anderson.

Officials said Anderson was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office where a cause of death will be determined.

According to the OSBI, Anderson was arrested in August for failing to appear in court on a manslaughter charge.
