CATOOSA, Okla. (AP) – Tulsa-area firefighters say one person has died in a house fire.

Firefighters say a neighbor pulled one person to safety before responders arrived Friday morning. They say one adult and two children were in the home when the fire broke out. Fire crews rescued the third person.

The identity of the victim hasn’t been released. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters say the home is a total loss. They say battling the blaze was difficult because there aren’t hydrants in the rural neighborhood.

The state fire marshal is investigating.
