According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatality collision occurred yesterday at just after 2 p.m. on US 177 near Harvest Road southbound, approximately 3 and a half miles southwest of Morrison, OK, in Noble County.

A 1997 Chevrolet truck driven by 68-year-old Dennis R. Southern of Pawnee, OK apparently hit the rear of one vehicle, then because of the collision moved into the opposite traffic lane and was struck head on by an on-coming vehicle. The first vehicle Southern’s vehicle ran into was a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 29-year-old George A. Deweese, Jr., of Ponca City, OK. Deweese was injured with trunk external and arm injuries. The OHP report indicates he refused treatment on scene. The other vehicle was a 2011 Cadillac Escalade driven by 36-year-old Anita D. Casey, also of Ponca City.
