TULSA, Okla. (AP) – An Oklahoma middle school principal has been charged with child abuse and rape after a relative told police he abused her years earlier.
Kiefer Public Schools fired 43-year-old Jayson Daniel Larremore after learning of the criminal investigation.
Creek County prosecutors on Wednesday charged Larremore with child sexual abuse, lewd molestation, and rape by instrumentation. His accuser says he sexually abused her from the ages of 9 to 16 years.
A probable cause affidavit says the girl was 16 when she told her family of the abuse. Her relatives determined the issue should “be handled within the family.” Larremore admitted to the abuse and assured his family he would leave teaching.
The woman, now in her 20s, recently learned Larremore was employed as a principal and reported him to police.
