Oklahoma reports 825 more coronavirus cases, 3 more deaths

The Associated Press - August 9, 2020 9:35 am

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 825 newly confirmed coronavirus cases and three additional deaths due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus. The department on Saturday said there are now 43,080 reported cases in the state and the death toll stands at 603.

The true number of coronavirus cases in Oklahoma is likely higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected and not feel sick, even though they can still spread the virus.

The health department reported 594 hospitalizations, up from 561 reported on Friday, and said 35,745 people have recovered from the virus.
