Oklahoma reports 1,017 new coronavirus cases, 11 deaths

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma health officials are reporting 1,017 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 11 additional deaths. The latest numbers reported Saturday by the Oklahoma State Department of Health bring the total number of confirmed cases to 68,659. The state’s death toll now stands at 899.

The actual number of cases is likely higher because many people haven’t been tested, and studies suggest that people can be infected and spread the virus while not feeling sick.
