Oklahoma City Thunder complete team’s coaching staff

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma City Thunder has completed the team’s coaching staff.

The team has announced that Maurice Cheeks, Monty Williams and Anthony Grant have been hired as assistant coaches and Billy Schmidt as quality control coach.

Cheeks is a former Thunder assistant who has also been head coach at Detroit, Philadelphia and Portland. Williams spent the past five seasons as head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans while Grant is a former head coach at the University of Alabama and Virginia Commonwealth and previously was an assistant at Florida to new Thunder head coach Billy Donovan.

Schmidt spent last season as an assistant to Donovan at Florida.

They join assistant coaches Mark Bryant and Darko Rajakovic, shooting coach Adam Harrington and advance scouting/player development manager Vin Bhavnani on Donovan’s staff.
