Oklahoma City Police shoot, kill man

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma City Police Department says an officer shot and killed a man after a short vehicle pursuit.

Lt. Kevin Parton tells The Oklahoman the Wednesday shooting was near Oklahoma City University at Northwest 27th Street and North Barnes Avenue.

Parton says an officer attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over. Parton says the short pursuit ended at a dead-end on North Barnes Avenue.

Further details weren’t released by Parton about the shooting.
