OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Oklahoma City police say a man has been found dead inside a car on the city’s southwest side.

Sgt. Dax Laporte told reporters that there are signs of trauma to the man’s body and the death is being investigated as a homicide. The man’s name has not been released.

Police say a person walking in the area shortly before 3 a.m. Monday called police after seeing the car running and a person slumped over inside the vehicle. Police say the man was alive when officers arrived, but had died by the time an ambulance reached the scene.

Police say the state medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
