Oklahoma Book Awards banquet canceled

Ponca City Now - March 18, 2020 3:54 pm

It may come as no surprise that the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Friends of the Oklahoma Center for the Book are canceling the Oklahoma Book Awards banquet and awards ceremony that was planned for May 2.

Despite the banquet being canceled, medals for this 31st annual competition will still be awarded. Judges are communicating with the Center electronically in order to determine the winners in the five book categories. Medalists and  finalists will be notified about the results sometime in April.
