OHP Trooper Involved in Crash in North OKC

News 9 - December 29, 2022 12:53 pm

Oklahoma City emergency crews responded to a crash around 9:20 Wednesday morning on Broadway Extension near the John Kilpatrick Turnpike.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said this crash involved a trooper who was responding to an earlier crash in the area.

OHP said while one trooper was outside their vehicle, another was sitting inside when another car going the speed limit slammed into the back of it.

The trooper inside the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

This is being investigated as a DUI crash after drug paraphernalia was found in the car that hit the trooper, and the driver had previous drug charges.
