OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Authorities say a 54-year old woman has drowned in a southeastern Oklahoma pond. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Saturday that Sawyer resident Roxie R. Merriott’s body was recovered in about 3 feet of water by her husband. The patrol says Merriott left her house Friday around 3:30 p.m. to walk to the pond and relax. The victim’s husband became worried and went to check on Merriott about four hours later and found her in the water.
