Officer Hargraves sworn in

Willie Hargraves is the newest officer for the Ponca City Police Department. The Oath of a Police Officer was administered to him by Municipal Judge William Kirkpatrick on Tuesday.

Hargraves is not new to law enforcement. He’s been employed by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office since 1999 and was originally hired as a jailer. He spent most of his time as a field deputy and had reached the rank of Lieutenant with the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.

Hargraves brings with him 1,450 hours of law enforcement training. He is a certified firearms instructor and a nationally certified emergency medical tech.
