Mike Seals - January 5, 2021 9:40 am
On Friday, January 1, 2021 Ramona Jolene (Loveall) Scott, of Ponca City, Ok, passed away at the age of 69.
Ramona was born on September 19,1951 to Virgil and Nina Loveall in Blackwell, OK. She was the 2nd oldest of 8 kids. She grew up and attended school in Blackwell. She was 16 when she met the love of her life, Danny Scott Sr. They were married September 1, 1968 at First Baptist Church in Blackwell. For the next several years they traveled around the country working in the oil and tank industry. They settled in Ponca City in 1978. There they raised their 3 children Nancy, Leslie, and Danny (Bubba) all of Ponca City.
After Her children were born, Mona became a full-time Mother and dedicated herself not only to her kids, but to her nieces, nephews and many, many others. She made sure no child was left out. She would take them on outings to the movies, parks and waterparks. She became a fixture at the kids sporting events. She was not just an Fantastic Mom and Aunt Mona, she was an Amazing Grandma. She also really loved sewing, puzzles, reading romance novels and playing dice games.
Ramona was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003. She would not let this diagnosis slow her down. While some things changed the love for her family was not one of them and in true Mona fashion her fight, spunk, quick thinking wit and personality remained the same, even if her body wasn’t.
Everything changed for all in 2020. Mona’s life was significantly impacted by Covid. Phone calls and window visits weren’t the same for a Mom and Grandma who was constantly around family her whole life. Ramona lost the good fight on January 1, 2021. She was loved by all and she will be missed by so many.
She is survived by Her Husband of 52 years, Danny Scott Sr. Her Daughters Nancy and Leslie Scott. Her Son and Daughter in Law Danny (Bubba) Jr. and Coena Scott. Granddaughters Erika, Natalie, Jaycee, Baylee. Grandsons Jason, Daxton, Gavin, Connlee, Madden, Rylee. Great Grandchildren Mason and Robyn. Siblings Jackie, Shelley, Christopher, Mark, and James. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by Her Parents Virgil and Nina, Her Brother Paul, Her Sister Joyce, Her Nephew Brandon and her Son in Law Kevin Forbeck.
Memorial Service will be at First Nazarene Church at 1900 W. Grand Ave. At 2pm on Friday, January 8th, 2021.
