
Otto "Buck" G. Hoemann
March 26, 1932 - February 24, 2025
Otto "Buck" G. Hoemann of Deer Creek, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 92 years.
Otto “Buck” was born on March 26, 1932, on a farm outside of Medford to Otto Gustav Sr.and Julia (Edwards) Hoemann. Buck has lived in Deer Creek since he was twelve years of age. For the last three years of his life, he has been residing at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell. Buck married the love of his life, Carolyn Yadon in 1954 and they just celebrated seventy years of marriage together in July of 2024.
Buck graduated from Deer Creek High School and furthered his education by attending Northern Oklahoma Junior College in Tonkawa where he received as associate’s degree and played football. While in college he also served in the National Guard. Following his education he began working in the oil fields before he landed on his career with Clyde Coop and worked there until his retirement in 1994. Buck was also busy with side jobs such as lawnmower and small engine repair and operating his insurance business. When he wasn’t working, he loved to ride his motorcycle, and going on vacations with Carolyn. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.
He was a member of the Lion’s Club, served on the Deer Creek School Board and the Mt Olive Cemetery Board and was a member of the Lamont Christian Church.
Buck is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hoemann; four children, Randy Hoemann and wife Rose Mary, Rick Hoemann and wife Tammy, Royce Hoemann and wife Rhonda, and Renee Huddleston and husband Darren; grandchildren, Carly Mendenhall and Bryan, Clayton Hoemann and Katherine, Brock Hoemann and Casey, Melissa Henderson and Ryan, Brett Hoemann and Mika, Miranda Pickens and Ryan, Bryce Hoemann, Grant Huddleston and Beth, Alisha Frary, Chelsey Huddleston and Delainey Huddleston; grandchildren by marriage, Julie Schardein and Robert, Emily Robison, John Robison and Amanda; great grandchildren, Sammy, Luke, Olivia, Madison, Blake, Emily, Blane, Austin, Adrienne, Madison, Mason, Branch, Lola, Lucas, Bentley, Aria and Elliana; by marriage, Braxton, Kolby, Kadyn, Karsyn, Kooper, Kyle, Sarah, Sullivan and expecting one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Eugene and Gladys Hoemann; and grandchildren, Barrett Hoemann and Kale White.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Hillcrest Manor Staff and to ACG Hospice for their wonderful care.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 28th in the Lamont Christian Church with Rev. Jeff McReynolds and Rev. Tuney Ropp officiating. A private family burial will be held in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin.
Casketbearers will be Blake Hoemann, Brett Hoemann, Brock Hoemann, Clayton Hoemann, Blane Hoemann, Bryce Hoemann, Austin Harrold and Grant Huddleston.
A memorial has been established in his honor with the Alzheimer’s Association, 6601 Broadway Extension, Suite 120, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73116.
