Yvonne Sampson “Sam” Wade, age seventy-seven, resident of Orlando, Oklahoma slipped away to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at his farm.
Sam was born on October 12, 1940 to Jonas Wade and Billie Mae Sherwood Wade in Talihina, Oklahoma. He had been a Vocational Agriculture Instructor until buying a farm in 1971. He was a member of the Mulhall-Orlando Lions Club and he served on the Rural Water Board. He worked at Charles Machine Works, Inc. in Perry, Oklahoma until retiring to travel with his wife, Mary Ann, and their eight grandchildren. Sam’s love for ice-cream required frequent stops at Braum’s and Dairy Queen stores anytime their adventurous route passed near. He will be remembered most for his love for his family, his big hugs and honest dealings with all people.
Visitation will be at Trout Funeral Home of Perry on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family visiting with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8th, 2018 at the Orlando United Methodist Church with Reverend Adrian Pollard and Reverend Ronnie Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
