Wilma Leona (Helm) Grassman

November 28, 1935 ~ April 27, 2022 (age 86)

Wilma Leona Grassman, 86, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on April 27, 2022. She entered this world on November 28, 1935 in Wellston, Oklahoma born to Louis and Emma (Belitz) Helm.

Wilma graduated high school in Wellston and met her love Norman Grassman on a blind date and the two would later become married. They then moved to Ponca City and made their life there. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church Ladies Guild and enjoyed camping and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder. Wilma also liked to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Diane Dixon and son Steven Grassman; three granddaughters Melissa Van Duyne of Oklahoma City, Stephanie Dixon of Oklahoma City, and Sierra Grassman of Ponca City; four great-grandchildren: Dylan Todd, Allison, Beau, and Rain Grassman.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Emma, husband Norman, two brothers, Carl Helm and John Helm, and one sister, Leona James.

Visitation will be Monday, May 2 at Grace Memorial Chapel from 1pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, at 2pm at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Joseph Highly officiating.
