Obituary for William White

William Marion White, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away Saturday, March 8th, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in OKC. He was 81.

The service will be held at 2:00 pm, March 15, 2014 at the Sunset Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Burial will then follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, OK . Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Bill was born on November 19, 1932 to John Marion White and Beulah "Trout" White in Ponca City, OK. He was raised in Ponca City, OK. He was married to Betty Downey White on August 11, 1951 in Ponca City. He worked as a Labor Forman for Conoco after retiring from the United States Air Force in 1972.

He was a member of the Sunset Baptist Church in Ponca City. Bill loved to work with wood, take care of his mule Melvin, whom he said good bye to when he went to the hospital.

Bill is survived by Wife, Betty Downey White, Son, Billy White, and wife JoAnn, Son, Douglas White,and wife Paula, grandsons Kyle White, Cody White, Caleb White and Joshua White. Preceded in death by Father, John Marion White, Mother, Beulah White, infant son, Johnny White.

Casketbearers will be Steve Combest, Don Mills, Bill Ogen, Orville Wilks, Pat Bunney, and Bob Denson.

Honorary Casketbearers will be his Amen Sunday School Class.
