November 15, 1935 – January 20, 2019
Willard Dean Anderson of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Sunday evening, January 20, 2019, in the Via Christi Village in Ponca City at the age of 83 years.
Willard Dean Anderson was born on November 15, 1935, in Marland, Oklahoma, to Carl Willard and Hazel Marie (Russell) Anderson. He grew up in Marland and attended Marland Public Schools graduating with the class of 1953. Following his education he entered the United States Army serving from January 1955 until January of 1958. Following his discharge he married Maxine Lyvon Franklin on October 1, 1958, and they settled in Ponca City. He worked as a milk delivery driver of over thirty years for Hiland Dairy. His wife preceded him on October 25, 2011, and he later moved into Ponca City to make his home. He attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. He was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed studying God’s Word. He also enjoyed singing and writing poetry and music. He loved his family and the many family functions they enjoyed together.
He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Robins and Patricia Brumley of Ponca City; a sister, Anita McAlister of Marland; a brother, Ricky Anderson of Ponca City; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Johnny Anderson; and two sisters, Doris Tabares and Patsy Anderson.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 25th in the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma Fireside Room with a private family burial following.
Casketbearers will be Jordan Brumley, Colton Brumley, Mike McAlister and Tre Lambeth.
