Obituary for Warren Wilson

Warren Albert "Bud" Wilson departed this life on June 12, 2014 at 81 years of age after an extended illness.
He was born April 16, 1933 to Fred and Verna (Griffin) Wilson in Weleetka, OK. After graduating from high school, Bud enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Korean conflict. After returning from military service, Bud attended Central State University in Edmond, Ok where he met and married his wife, Barbara Louise Gilliland, on January 20, 1955. Even though Bud was a banker at various communities throughout Oklahoma for 40 years, in his heart he was always the rodeo cowboy of his youth.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Verna Wilson, His sisters, Mary Jo Herring and husband Jack, Pauline Strong and husband Bill, a brother-in-law, Beldon "Cowboy" Anderson, and two granddaughters, Dayna Gail and Jenna Marie Lowe.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home, his children, Cody Wilson and wife Becky of Waxahachie, TX, Bunny Lowe and husband Rick of Ponca City, OK and Wade Wilson and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, OK. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty Anderson of Oklahoma City, a cousin, Fred S. Wilson of Katy, TX, and a host of nephews and nieces throughout the United States.
