Walter Neville III
(January 3, 1943 – December 14, 2015)
Walter Nelson Neville III slipped away from our presence at 3:16 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 to join his eternal family. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints with Bishop Critchfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Oddfellows Cemetery. The Neville family will receive friends on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Trout Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
He was born on January 3, 1943 to Walter Nelson Neville, Jr. and Virginia Kathlene Trayler in Ponca City. Nelson graduated from PoHi in 1962. He went to Business College and worked for the roofing company on South First Street, until Conoco hired him as a computer operator. He retired from Conoco Dupont after 25 years. He married Donna J. (Walker) Henderson on September 7, 1974 in Ponca City. Together, they have three children, John D. Neville, Clydette R. (Neville) Simpson, and Alice M. (Neville) Busch. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for over 50 years.
He had several hobbies but his favorite one was genealogy. Nelson enjoyed his temple responsibilities and gardening. He enjoyed history and reading. He loved to fill his mind with good things in life. Nelson loved his family and always wished he could see all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. He always desired to live to be 102 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, son, John D. Neville and wife Kristin of Maryland, daughter, Clydette R. (Neville) Simpson and husband John of Ponca City, and daughter, Alice M. (Neville) Busch and husband Nelson from Maryland. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer, Victoria, Marleana, Sidney, Caleb, Gavin, Daniel, Alex, Taylor and Camille, his great-grandchildren, Julian, Josalyn, Angelenia, Zahne, Zaden, and Elizabeth.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents and many siblings.
