Obituary for Vickie Stewart

Vickie Lynn Stewart, long time resident of Ponca City, died on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Ponca City Medical Center. She was 61.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor David Bosworth, officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Vickie Stewart was born on March 19, 1952 in Ponca City, OK, the daughter of Hershel and Oma Lea Tudor. They moved to Carpentria, CA in 1959 where she attended school until 1969 then moved back to Ponca City to finish her Senior year. She married the love of her life on July 16, 1970. She was employed with ASC numerous years before retirement. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, family gatherings, her sons auto racing and attending her grandchildren’s sporting activities.

Survivors include her husband Terry Stewart of the home. Her mother, Oma Sisco; step-brother, Dale Sisco and wife Sonia; two sister-in-laws, Mary Tudor and Connie Gilpatrick, and one brother-in-law Dennis Stewart and wife Kathy. She is also survived by one daughter, Carrie Sisney and husband L.K.; two sons, Hershel Stewart and wife Sarah and Shawn Stewart. Eight grandchildren; Tyler, Liam, Kylan, Chandler, Skylar, Trenton, Lydia and Tarynn and one great-grandchild, Zoe Stewart; also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hershel Tudor, her only brother Norman Tudor, mother-in-law Winifred McManis and grandparents.
