Trinidad “Too Bad” Bernal

March 13, 1946 – August 2, 2019

“Too Bad” Trinidad Rodrigo Bernal, age 73, of Perry, Oklahoma passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 2, 2019 at his daughter’s home in Perry.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday August 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Assembly with Brett Nation officiating. The family would like for everyone to please wear bright colors in celebration of Too Bad Trinidad going to meet his maker and to be re-united with his wife. Trinidad will be laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery next to his wife and grandson Jahge following the service. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 with family greeting friends from 5:30 to 7:30 at Trout Funeral Home of Perry.

Trinidad was born on March 13, 1946 in Lyford, Texas in a house with a dirt floor to migrant workers Enrrique and Francisca (Cerbantez) Bernal. He grew up all over the country side following the farm work. Trinidad married Melissa Faye (Roy) on Christmas day in 1980 in Safford, AZ. He worked in auto body and was known for his framework and great work ethic. His hobbies include silver smithing, jewelry and listening to the blues. Spending time with his grandbabies was his greatest joy. He loved his Bible front to back and would share the Lord with any ear whether they wanted to hear or not. He was an ornery man with a great sense of humor and was always joking.

Survivors include his step-son Donovan Shangreaux of Blackwell, OK; son Daniel Kuchera of Perry, OK; daughters Melissa Speikers and Karolina Bernal of Perry, OK; sister “Rosie” Margaret Bravo of Moses Lake, WA and brother Armando Bernal of Madera, CA, three granddaughters, four grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Melissa, son Little Trini, and grandson Jahge Soap.

Casketbearers will be Humberto Hernandez, Solomon Diaz, Darren Webb, Les Webb, Michael Kuchera and Eliot Yaffe. Honorary casketbearers will be Daniel Kuchera, Brent Webb and Camo Speikers.
