Tommy Thompson

July 9, 1950 – December 8, 2024

Tommy Lou Thompson, age 74, passed away December 8, 2024, at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the near future. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Tommy was born July 9, 1950, in Ponca City, OK, to Harold Aaron (known as “PeWee) and LaVeta (Horton) Thompson. Tommy grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968. He always enjoyed cars and motor cycles, working on them, re-painting them, and admiring others at all the local custom car shows. Tommy was employed as a house painter, and occasionally re-modeled a room for individual homeowners. During his later years, Tommy was heavily involved with the Four Square Church of Ponca City and was employed as the church custodian.

The family wishes to especially thank the staff at Willow Haven Nursing Home and Humanity Hospice for the kindness and constant care they have faithfully provided for Tommy.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his sister, Karmelita (Thompson) Speir.
