Toby Wayne Sheets, resident of Ponca City, OK left this world on Monday, April 1st, 2024. He was 46 years old.
He was born October 06, 1977, in Ponca City, Ok to his parents Terry W Sheets and Mary Jane Clemons. He grew up in Lamont, OK where he started his education before moving with his family to Ponca City, where he would finish his education.
Toby and his family lived in Lamont, OK where he attended his first few years of elementary school. He and his family then moved to Ponca City, OK around the age of 10, where he would continue and finish his education.
He had various jobs throughout his lifetime. He delivered the Ponca City Newspaper shortly after moving to Ponca City, till he reached the age of 16. Then he began working for the Blue Moon Restaurant as a dishwasher before being a fry cook. Toby would eventually work for Western Sizzlin, KFC, City of Ponca Solid Waste part-time, and Mocks Flooring.
Toby enjoyed fishing, bowling, PubG reading, playing cards, and animals, watching movies, and spending time with his close friends while having a few cold drinks. He also loved talking with his family and getting to see them during the holidays and birthday gatherings. Anytime he had a chance he would help his grandpa do whatever he needed help doing. Whether it was mowing the lawn, or going to decorate the graves. If he was working on something around the house and his great nephews stopped by, he would join in helping no matter what it was. All this brought so much joy and happiness along with smiles to Toby.
He is survived by his mother Jane Clemons and two sisters and two brothers. Sister Trudie Presley and husband of Ponca City, brother Troy Sheets of Ponca City, sister Sabrina Blaser, and husband Jim, brother Andy Jobe and wife Dustie of Tulsa.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Lorin Presley, Hope Presley, Tanner Presley, Holden Presley, Kiley Sheets, Mindy Wright, Molly Blaser, Nolan Jobe, Mason Jobe, O.B Jobe.
Toby is also survived by his great nephews; Tegan McClelland, BentLee Murray, Alek Presley, Easton Presley, Grayson Batchelor
He was preceded in death by his father Terry W Sheets, Uncle Jim Sheets, maternal grandparents Bill and Mary Clemons, and paternal grandparents Troy and Gladys Sheets.
A memorial service will be held on April 20th, 2024, at Newpoint Church at 10 am.
