Tina Fugate
(July 5, 1972 – December 16, 2015)
Tina Marie Fugate, born July 5 1972, age 43, passed away December 16th at her home in Washington, Missouri. Tina was born in Ponca City to Michael and Marilyn Fugate and attended school at Liberty Elementary, West Middle School, and graduated from Ponca City High School after achieving her Wohelo Campfire Girl award in 1990. The next year on November 9th Tina was blessed with a beautiful daughter Madison. Tina then went on to continue her education at Northern Oklahoma College and Votech where she graduated as an LPN. She moved to Kansas City where she worked as a dedicated nurse for several years before being forced to retire due to a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
Shortly after she was blessed with her second child, Michael Pavitt, born September 20, 2001. If there was one thing she strived to excel at in her life, it was being the best and strongest mother she could be to not only for her own children, but any child in need. She was a die hard OSU fan (Go Pokes!) and had an intense passion for music.
She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Fugate, her daughter, Madison Larison and Madison’s fiancé Tyler Evans, son Michael Pavitt, brother Steven Fugate and his companion Stephanie, nephew, Dustin Fugate, as well as her grandmother, Naomi Crook, aunt Maryann Crook, Carolyn Guthrie, and her husband Terry, her aunt Connie Miller, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Fugate, her niece, Chelsea Fugate, her paternal grandparents, Ruth and John Van Dyck, maternal grandfather, Virgil Crook, uncle, Chris Miller, as well as her aunt and uncle George and Linda Woodall.
A funeral service for Tina will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Freewill Baptist Church in Ponca City.
