Thomas Webb
(September 11, 1952 – March 24, 2016)
Thomas Roberts Webb, Jr. passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was 63 years old. Tom was born on September 11, 1952 to Thomas and Elizabeth (Ingerson) Webb in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. On April 1, 1993, he married Robbi Bloxsom Webb in Miami, OK.
Tom began his career as a welder and he and his wife traveled around the state welding until he bought Webb’s. In 2001, he made his final career as the proprietor of Tom’s Place near Kaw Dam. He and Robbi hosted many charitable events over the last fifteen years for many organizations. Many people would agree that you could get the very best hamburger around from Tom’s Place. He loved to cook and visit with all who came. All the children called him Uncle Tom and he always had ice cream and candy for them. He could talk your leg off but don’t ever ask him to text because that wouldn’t happen. His favorite past-time was anything to do with the outdoors. Fishing and then having a fish fry for all to enjoy, biking on his Harley with friends on Poker Runs, or just enjoying riding around with his wife loving their time together.
All of his friends will agree he was trustworthy and generous to a fault. You could always get a smile, a story or even Tom rapping to a song when you came out to Tom’s Place. Friends would listen to his story and then he’d say, "Now don’t you tell Robbi I said this" especially when he knew Robbi was coming up behind him. Of all his loves, the greatest was his wife, Robbi Ann. These two completed each other. There was a special bond and partnership that was taken away too soon. They were stronger together than apart.
Survivors include his wife, Robbi of Ponca City, son, Jesse Webb and wife Jeane of Tulsa, OK, mother, Betty Kline of Ponca City, brother, Steve Webb and wife Carla of Ponca City, sister, Sue Burch of Perkins, OK, sister Sharon Ingerson of Canyon Lake, TX, mother-in-law, Helen Bloxsom of Ponca City, sister-in-law, Sherri and husband Mike Tapp, brother-in-law, Randy Bloxsom, two grandchildren, Kane and Kennedy Webb and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Webb, Sr., father-in-law, Lew Bloxsom, and grandmother, Geneva Martin.
