Terrie M. Coates

February 6, 1962 – September 30, 2017

Terrie Marie Coates, resident of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her mothers home with her family at her side. She was 55.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., at Trout Funeral Home of Perry Chapel with Pastor Shem Durham officiating. The care of the family is under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry.

Terrie was born on February 2, 1962 to Ray Dean and Lois (LaMar) Meier in Enid, OK. She grew up around the Perry area and worked as a waitress and later worked as an electrician assistant and heavy equipment operator.

She had a love for her grandsons and nephews, race cars and she had no problem speaking her mind when needed.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Coats of Perry; mom: Lois (Thomas) Meier of Perry; two sons: Shawn Meier of Perry, and Jessie Leslie of Cherokee; three grandchildren: Jonathan and Alex of Perry, Harley Meier of Oklahoma City; two brothers: James Meier of Perry and Dewayne Willis of Tulsa; two sisters: Tesa and husband David of Perry and Debbie and husband Dennis Bode of Mulhall; nieces and nephews: Loran, Whitney, Heath, Addy, Chloe of Tulsa and JT, Kristin, Gage, Cord of Pawnee and Jeremy of Perry.

Preceded in death were her father Ray and also her father figure Max H. Thomas.
