Vester Joe Spore, 80, beloved husband, father, and papa, was called to meet Jesus in heaven on January 31, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas, to Vester and Veva Joe DeBard Spore.
Vester grew up in Newkirk, Oklahoma and graduated from Newkirk High School in 1961. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with an MBA in 1966. He married the love of his life, Mary Miller on June 28, 1963. After graduation, Vester went to work for Conoco where he successfully became Manager of Finance. Vester was a member of Ponca City First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School, was a deacon, and mentored many people. He was also involved with Gideons International. Vester dearly loved God, country, and his family. In the last month of his life, he had the opportunity to share how a personal relationship with Jesus is the way to peace and forgiveness.
