Susan Jean Walker

December 20, 1956 – August 20, 2018

Our dear mother, Susan Jean Walker, of Ponca City went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, August 20, 2018. She was only 61 years old. Please join us for a memorial service 2 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, where we will celebrate Susan’s life. The minister Sunie Stolhand of the First Nazarene Church will officiate.

Susan was born on December 20, 1956 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Waldo Landon and Helen Alma (Cook) Landon.

Susan raised two beautiful daughters and enjoyed spending her time with her grandkids. She enjoyed sewing and always had a project going and listening to rock and roll music especially by Elvis. She worked in the hospitality industry as a cook as well as at a local nursing home. She enjoyed attending church services with her sister.

Susan leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Sherry Walker and husband Tim Maine of Colorado, daughter Jennifer and husband Michael Allen of Edmond; grandchildren Tracy Hunt, Allen Gilmore, Corbin Allen, Aaron Walker, Caden Allen, and Haley Allen; great grandchildren Katara Hunt, Isaiah Moody, Thea Hunt and Myah Gilmore, one sister and two brothers.

Susan was reunited in heaven with her parents, grandchild Hunter Allen, baby brother Tommy Landon, and brother Lloyd Schuchman.
