Susie began working at the age of 17 at Titus in Ponca City. She spent several years in their employment before moving to Kaw City where she took a job with the school system. After Kaw City School system, Susie spent 22+ years working for the Ponca City post office and during that time met many special people who became her work family and close friends. She had various hobbies and creative projects she enjoyed such as crocheting, quilting and needlepoint and was also an avid reader. One of Susie’s quilting projects included two Ponca City Iris Festival t-shirt quilts made for a special friend who also worked at the post office.
