Ponca City Now - November 26, 2014 12:00 am
Steven Heath McEnany, 40, of Ponca City, went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 24, 2014.
Heath McEnany was born on August 30, 1974 to Steven Ralph McEnany and Kimberly Hammans McEnany in Ponca City, OK. He was raised and went to school in Ponca City. He married Erica Hassinger on August 3, 2002 in Ponca City. They have 2 children; Cheyenne and Marshall.
Heath was a very hard-working man. He began his working career at Kmart in Ponca City, where he made many, many lasting friendships. He then began his life-long career, where he worked for the Local 430 for almost 19 years as a pipe fitter. He made sure jobs were done on time and right the first time, it was always his goal. He began his career as a pipefitter on tools, but quickly worked his way up to foreman, a position he held for several companies. He was a trusted leader both with his workers and with his employers.
Heath loved to fish. He would tell stories of fishing at a young age with his grandpa. He learned many things from his grandpa, but fishing stuck with him and he was happy to share it with others. He treasured the time spent together, and he would later share those same memories with his wife and children. His time on the lake with his family was his special time away. He loved to share the quiet evenings on the lake, whether he was catching fish or just listening to music with his wife and children and their dog, Rocky. Heath was devoted to his family and a loyal friend to many.
He is survived by his wife Erica McEnany of the home; two children, Cheyenne and Marshall McEnany of Ponca City, OK; mother, Kim Seal of Ponca City, OK; Uncle Mike and wife Pam McEnany of Ponca City, OK; Aunt Lisa Morrison and Husband Kevin; sister Vicki Stockton; niece Jenna; brother Tyler McEnany; plus many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Bill and Betty McEnany; Bob and Mary Lou Hammans, and his Father Steven Ralph McEnany.
Honorary casket bearers will be Brandon Roller, Danny Williams, David Taylor, Mike Hyatt, Rick Stolhand, and Gene Neuman.
