Obituary for Sandra Graves

Sandra L.Graves, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away December 8, 2014. She was 73.

Sandy was born on August 4, 1941 to Chester Jones and Wanda Lee Fisher Jones in Ponca City, OK. She was raised in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1959.

She was married to James Robert Graves June 21, 1957 and they were married for 37 years till his death. She worked as Administration for the library of Ponca City. Sandy was a talented artist that taught painting lessons for many years in town. She enjoyed being a volunteer for many years with the Marland Grand Home. Sandra also worked to complete the North Central Oklahoma historical books with the North Central Oklahoma Historical Society. Other interest for Sandy were Basket making, genealogy and quilt making.

Sandy is survived by her children, Penny Lieber and husband Philip Allen of Ponca City, OK; William Scott Graves and wife Judy Lin of Ponca City, OK; Robert Wayne Graves and wife Tammy Lynn of Bartlesville, OK; James Richard Graves and wife Melissa Ann of Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren, Michael Lieber of Ponca City; Stephanie Lieber of Edmond, OK; Jaci Flynt and husband Casey of O’Donnell, TX; Steven Graves of Ponca City, OK; Kelsi Graves of Bartlesville, OK and three great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Jones and nephew Darrin Stikel.
