Obituary for Ruth Ann Schade

Ruth Ann Schade, 76, retired Accounting Specialist in the College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, died peacefully in her Norman home on March 31, 2015.
Ruth Ann was born April 7, 1938 to her father, William Ferman Porter and her mother, Maude Ray Porter on their farm in Wayne, OK. Ruth Ann graduated from Wayne High School in 1955. After high school, she attended East Central University in Ada, OK and married Maurice Schade. They had two children, Maurine Ann and Michael Anthony, and divorced after 25 years of marriage.
Ruth Ann loved life. She enjoyed cooking, working sudoku and crossword puzzles, listening to Waylon Jennings, Perry Como, and Bing Crosby, and spending time with her family. She loved being outdoors, watching butterflies and working in her garden. She enjoyed watching Castle and eating sweets, including Twinkies and Wint-O-Green mints. Most of all, Ruthann was funny, loving, kind to everyone, selfless and compassionate and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Ruth Ann is survived by her daughter Maurine Ann Jones and son-in-law Larry Jones of Norman, OK, and son, Michael Anthony Schade and daughter-in-law Lisa Schade of Norman, Ok; Grandchildren, Shannon Lee, Christy Hall, Rachel Lee, Dalton Jones, and Genevieve Schade; Great Grandchildren, Samuel and Cooper Hanchett, Lola Jones, and Everett and Porter Hall. She is also survived by her beloved dog Chico and her cousin Jad Hanner of Bethany, Oklahoma.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mack Porter, and Maurice Schade.
