Obituary for Russell Brown

Russell (Bub) H. Brown, resident of Ponca City passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Ponca City, OK at the age of 74.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 2: 00 pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Mike Sweetman officiating.

He was a lifelong residence of Ponca City. He worked for the street department and retired as supervisor after 40 years. Bub enjoyed fishing , NASCAR, dirt track racing, and hunting for coyotes with his dogs. He also loved cooking , drinking coffee with friends and his dog Abby.

He is survived by his son Rusty Brown of Ponca City; daughter, Jill Wright and husband Mike of Mooreland, OK; daughter Julie Locke and husband Travis of Newkirk, OK; stepdaughter, Carolyn Sundeen and husband Ron of Newkirk, OK; stepson, Max Horn and wife Lori of Ponca City, OK; stepdaughter, Sarah Fallis and husband Steve of Cherokee, OK; grandchildren, Heath Wright, Cassie Hutchens, Ashleigh Wright, Lauren Wright, Mitchell Locke, Sarah Locke Baker, Lindsi Horn, Kalley Horn, Justin McCubbin, Taylor Adams, Waylon Elliott and Charlie Elliott, and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Helen Close of Ponca City, OK; three brothers, Fred Brown and wife Linda of Ponca City, OK; Jebo Brown of Ponca City, OK; and Larry Brown and wife Chris of Ponca City, OK;

Bub was preceded in death by his wife Linda Brown, Father Ed Brown, Mother Elsie Brown, sister Billie Winkleman and his dog for 17 years, Abby.

Casketbearers will be Son-in-Laws and Grandsons; Mike Wright, Heath Wright, Travis Locke , Mitchell Locke, Ron Sundeen and Justin McCubbin.
