Obituary for Rogena Lessert

Rogena Charlene Lessert passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 83.

Rogena was born September 9, 1932 to Roger Adair and Alice Yank Hart. She married Sam Lessert on February 25, 1952 in Colorado Springs, Co. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed quilting, arts and crafts and painting in her early years. Rogena was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and friends deeply. Rogena was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jacqueline Sandefur.

She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Sam and two daughters, Debbie Lessert of Edmond, Ok, Leslie Hitt and husband Lynn of The Woodlands, TX. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Whitney Furnas and husband Jon of Bartlesville, Ok; Maddie Hitt of The Woodlands, TX, and Courtney Whitlow of Edmond, OK and numerous extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Trout Funeral home with Deacon Dick Robinson Officiating. Interment will follow at Kaw Indian Cemetery in Newkirk, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
