April 14, 1936 – September 27, 2024

Robert Ray Zimmerman, age 88, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on September 27, 2024, at home, surrounded by his family. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends and family from 5-7 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home and Crematory in Ponca City. A private burial service will be held. Robert will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Robert was born on April 14, 1936 in South Charleston, Ohio to Leondus and Loretta (Hunt) Zimmerman. He attended Plumwood Schools in Plumwood , Ohio, completing his high school diploma. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a mechanic in the Navy until his retirement. He married Judy Limke on August 3, 1983 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Robert will always be remembered for his integrity, great sense of humor, love of NASCAR, and the unconditional love he had for his family.

Robert is survived by his wife Judy Zimmerman, his five children and their families: Belinda (Robert) Dennis, Bambie (Le) Coats, Brian Wesbrook, Marsha (Carl) Andrew, Darrin (Belinda) Wesbrook, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Wayne Zimmerman, and sister Pat Snyder. Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leondus and Loretta (Hunt) Zimmerman and brothers, Bill Zimmerman, Les Zimmerman, sisters, Mary Graves, Jerri Leach, Georgina Harsh, Helen Webb, Sheryl Stedium, infant sister, and daughter in law Brenda Wesbrook.

Pallbearers will be Brian Wesbrook, Darrin Wesbrook, Austin Dennis, Connor Coats, Garrett Coats, Dacota Roberson, and Laydon Wesbrook. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Dennis, Le Coats, Carl Andrew, and Wayne Zimmerman.
