Rita Marie Irons

July 30, 1933 ~ December 17, 2021 (age 88)

Rita Marie Irons, 88, beloved Mother and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on December 17, 2021. She entered this world on July 30, 1933 in Chickasha, OK, to Frank J. Blakley and Bessie Seltz Blakley.

Rita graduated from Marland High School in 1951 and was a member of the championship basketball team. She was a seamstress and worked in different retail stores during her life. In later years, she was a volunteer at the Blackwell Hospital.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Debra and husband Dannie Miller; grandson Larry and wife Rachel Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Elias and Bria Miller. She also was survived by her sister in law Linda Blakley, Niece Rhonda Viveros, & family & Nephew Franklin & Heather Blakley & Family.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, as well as 4 brothers Clyde, Virgil, Franklin & Reford Blakley.

Memorial graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, OK.
