Reno Sheridon Red Leaf
March 17, 1989 ~ March 10, 2021 (age 31)
Reno Red Leaf, 31, our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, was called home, to his eternal resting place on March 10, 2021, while living in Seattle Washington, just 1 week shy of his 32nd birthday. He entered this world on March 17, 1989, St. Patrick’s Day, in Ponca City, OK, born to Tony Red Leaf and Lynne Kitchell and he had 2 older brothers at the time of his birth, Toby and Roman.
Reno will be truly missed by all who loved him and by those who have met him. He never knew a stranger and would give you a big bear hug even if he didn’t know you. He loved people. He loved the outdoors, loved his family and friends, loved children and animals and just loved life. Reno would take up for the underdog and was a protector of his friends and family or anyone that was being bullied. Reno was a wonderful, kind spirited young man and a joy to be around. He was very polite, always laughing and smiling. He was definitely a talker and had the gift of gab and would talk to anyone who would take the time to listen. He was good at just about anything he put his mind to and his brothers wanted me to note that he was good at a unicycling too. He loved to play disc golf and he was a very good cook and just loved hanging out with people.
Reno was a championship wrestler at a very young age and had a natural gift for wrestling. He was very strong and knew how to use the Snake move in his wrestling matches at 8 years old, which allowed him to pin his opponent in the first few seconds. Maybe that was because he had 2 older brothers practicing on him and teaching him their moves. He was a Jr High State championship wrestler in the 9th grade with an undefeated record, a High School State Wrestling Champ at 18 yrs old and Collegiate All American wrestler. He also played baseball at a young age and was very good at being a catcher and he could hit that ball over the fence. He played baseball through high school. He was also a football player at a young age. He loved all sports and excelled at anything he did.
He graduated from Ponca City High School in 2008.
Recently Reno was living in Seattle Washington working as a commercial fisherman out of Sitka, Alaska and Dutch Harbor during his untimely death.
