Red Ritter
March 20, 1966 – February 13, 2021
Red Ritter passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Newkirk, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.
Wilber Burdette “Red” Ritter was born on March 20, 1966 in Orange, California the son of Clifford Ritter and Minnie Nugent. Red grew up in California and moved to Oklahoma at the age of 25 in 1991.
Red worked various jobs throughout the years but was especially gifted in automotive, machining and running/driving heavy equipment. He loved building and driving remote control vehicles and model cars. He would design, build, and paint anything he needed for them. He was highly creative and resourceful! He would help anyone, for any reason, because he loved people and being able to help when he could. If he could not help you, he knew the guy that could.
He loved riding his motorcycle around Kay county, shooting guns, hunting, fishing, camping, riding dirt bikes and ATV’s, and working on cars.
Red is survived by two brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Kay Ritter. He had a lot of gaming friends online, and it was not uncommon to hear Red laughing and cutting up with them in the house. Probably not a drop in the bucket compared to the friends he has all over the state of Oklahoma. No matter where you went, if Red was with you, he would see people he knew and he didn’t mind stopping to talk.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel.
