Quinten Wade Breedlove
September 17, 1979 – December 6, 2022
Quinten Wade Breedlove passed away at his residence in Ponca City, OK on December 6, 2022. He was born in Ponca City on September 17, 1979 to Steven Blaine Breedlove and Gail Kathleen Edwards. He spent his early years growing up in Ponca City, but moved to Guthrie before his teen years. There he lived with his father and stepmother, Suzanne Breedlove and a few of his siblings. He lived there until he joined the Coast Guard at the age of 18, and was stationed in Port Lavaca, TX. After he left the Coast Guard he moved back to Guthrie where he spent a good portion of his life. He later moved back to Ponca City where he spent the rest of his life.
During his younger years Quinten was known as Wade to his family and friends. When he joined the Coast Guard he chose to start going by his first name. Some of his family and friends never stopped calling him Wade though. Quinten enjoyed so many things in his life: his family, friends, cooking out, fishing, sports (especially OU), playing his guitar, singing, telling and hearing jokes, animals, and working on the road with his “brothers”. He especially loved his children, Austin and Megan. They were a light in his darkness.
Quinten is survived by his cousin, Amy Breedlove, of the residence; his son, Austin Breedlove of Cheboygan, MI; his daughter, Megan Breedlove and husband Tyler of Okemah; his mother, Gail Edwards of Ponca City; stepmother, Suzanne Breedlove-McGrath and Husband Doug of Guthrie; his brothers, Rolla Breedlove and wife Stephanie of Yukon and Daniel Breedlove of Guthrie; his sisters, Christy Daine and husband Scott of Ponca City; Leslie Hotard of Ponca City; Michelle Tudor and husband Terry of Fairfax; Rebecca Breedlove of Ponca City; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, and cousins.
Quinten was preceded in death by his father, Steven Blaine Breedlove of Guthrie; brother, Steven Ray Breedlove of Tishomingo; his nephews, Mathew James and James O’Brien of Ponca City; paternal grandparents, Rolla and Helen Breedlove of Ponca City; his maternal grandparents, Hubert O. Humble of Ponca City; Deloris Butler, and husband Nile of Perry.
His services are pending at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry, 1408 N 7th St, Perry, OK 73077.
