Obituary for Pricilla Mullenax

Priscilla Ruth (Swiger) Mullenax died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at her home. She was 83 years old. Priscilla was born on May 17, 1932 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Clyde and Freda (Haught) Swiger. She married Sam Mullenax in 1954 in West Virginia. They had two children Scott and Sandy.
Priscilla loved God, her family, and her little dog, Mandy. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree. While in college, she worked at Virginia Beach as a lifeguard. Priscilla taught music at East Junior High. She volunteered regularly at Via Christi, played piano at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, and was the choir director at Asbury United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing bridge. Priscilla also loved to travel and got to take a wonderful two-week vacation last year with her family. She was a remarkable woman who will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son, Scott Mullenax and wife Donna of Ponca City, daughter, Sandy Downing and husband Blake of Texas, grandchildren, Samuel Mullenax, Pryse Mullenax, Reagan Mullenax, and Kimberly Mumby and husband Travis all of Ponca City. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sam Mullenax.
Funeral services for Priscilla will be Thursday, June 4rd at 10 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Ponca City. A graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park will follow the funeral service. Priscilla will be available for viewing Wednesday, June 3rd until 8 p.m.
Services are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory in Ponca City.
