Obituary for Norman Cain

Norman Lee Cain, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at his home in Ponca City, OK. He was 89.
The service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Resthaven Memorial Parks Cemetery in Ponca City, OK with Chaplain Mike Sweetman officiating. Honorary Casketbearers will be Jeremy Ward, Brylan Madderra, Lyle Cain, Levi Edwards, Austin Edwards, and Dekota Edwards. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Norman was born on April 10, 1925 to Bill and Jossie (Tyner) Cain in Welling, OK. Norman served in the United States Army as a paratrooper from 1946 to 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Martha (Riggs – Gildhouse) Cain of the home; one son, Melvin and Debbie Cain of Ponca City; three daughters, Beverly and Lee Bush of Ponca City, Donna and Steve Madderra of Irving, Texas, and Rita Cain of Irving, Texas; two stepchildren, Verndell H. Gildhouse of Ankara, Turkey; and Fern Gail Gildhouse of Ponca City; one sister, Alive Flannery of Houston, Texas; as well as many grandchildren and great gradnchildren.
Norman was preceded death by his ex-wife Gayle (Middleton) Cain, mother of his six children, two sons, Stephen Cain and Norman Lee Cain Jr., his parents, and three brothers and sisters.
