Obituary for Naomi Scott

Naomi Eileen Scott was born November 7th, 1921 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was the only child of Herbert and Jesse Creekmore. She graduated from Enid High School in 1940 and received her Associates Degree from Northern Oklahoma College in 2006 at the age of 84.
She married Charles “Howard” Scott on September 13th, 1942 and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage. They were best friends.
They had three children, Charlie Scott, Sue Lupardis and Creek Scott.
She was very proud of her Chickasaw Native American heritage. She loved music and the time she spent as a member of the Ponca City Sweet Adeline’s. They were long time members of the Ponca City Golf and Country Club and she also loved to play golf. She and Howard enjoyed traveling the world.
Her beautiful smile was her trademark. It never left her face, even during the final days of her life.
Naomi was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ponca City.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard and daughter Sue. She is survived by Creek Scott and special friend Carmen Combs, Crosby, Texas and Charlie Scott and wife Anne, Lantana, Texas. Her grandchildren are Cory Scott, Marissa Scott, Ryan Scott, Toby Scott and wife Reverend Jennifer Scott, Andy Scott and wife Cathy Shipro, Amanda Purdom and husband Bobby and Nicole Lupardis. Her great- grandchildren are Ethan Scott, Briana Scott, Brian Scott, Emily Purdom, John Purdom, Joe Purdom, James Purdom, Charlie Scott, Abby Scott and Carter Creekmore Scott.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 26th at Christ United Methodist Church (Janet Holt Chapel on east side) in Tulsa at 2:00 P.M.
