Nancy Lee Haze Anderson
April 18, 1954 — April 26, 2024
Nancy passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on 03/26/2024 in Stillwater, OK. I would like to thank the nurses, CNAs and CMAs of Stillwater Creek and the nurses from Karmam Legacy Hospice for the care they provided in her final days.
Nancy was born on 4/18/1954 in Wichita, KS. She enjoyed doing beadwork and sewing, creating many, many pieces of beautiful jewelry and regalia. Even though she sometimes seemed to have a rough exterior, she was actually loving, caring and kind. She was one of the best and strongest people I’ve ever known. She loved her family fiercely. She was always ready and willing to help others and when she was needed the most, she showed up. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, and doted on her great grandchildren, always squirreling money away to get them things they wanted or needed. She could never tell them no, lol. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Albert Haze and Thomasine Hartico, a sister, Wylarma Haze Alvarez, and a brother, Preston Haze.
She is survived by her children, her daughter Thomascine “Lynette” Pena, her niece Audrey Carter, Anthony Silver and his wife Natalie, Ryan Anderson and his wife Makiesha, Jonathan Hartico and his wife Jennifer, two brothers Albert “Sonny” Haze Jr and Timothy Haze, two sisters Dianna Coronado and Patsy Morales, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nancy will be taken to the Otoe Cultural Building 8151 US-177, Red Rock, OK, on Monday afternoon, to spend one final night with her friends and family before her cremation. There will be a service at 5:00 pm, with a potluck dinner to follow. There will be an additional and final service on Tuesday morning at 9:00 am.
