Melissa Jean Hall

March 8, 1927 – October 10, 2017

Melissa J. Hall passed away on October 10, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was 90 years old. Melissa will be available for viewing on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jimmy Robertson, Robbie Kirk, Brian Kirk, Devin Renda, Nathan Maldanado, James Robertson. Honorary casket bearers will be Ethan Ewing and Paul Hall.

Melissa was born on March 8, 1927 in Tampa, FL. At a young age she moved to Chicago. She met her husband Louis B. Hall while living there. They were married October 17, 1942 and they had 8 children together.

She was a long time employee of Ponca Nursing Home after moving to Oklahoma in 1969.

She is survived by 5 children; Lloyd C. Hall and wife Pamela, Mildred L. Scudieri and husband Bill, Michael G. Hall and wife Judy, Karen L. Payne and partner Mike Bowles, Jennifer Windom, and over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

Melissa was preceded in death by her husband Louis and three children; Louis H. Hall, Erma J. Kaltenbach, and Debra Gonzales.

Following the ceremony on Saturday, the family invites Melissa’s friends to join them for dinner at the Moose Lodge in Ponca City.
