Mary Prusa
June 11, 1955 – February 9, 2024
Mary V. Prusa, resident of Red Rock, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at Stillwater Medical Center in Perry. She was 68.
Mary Virginia was born on June 22, 1955, the daughter of Steve and Eva Mae (LeVaIIey) Panach in Newkirk, Okla. She graduated from Braman High School. On July 15, 1982, Mary married Claude Prusa in Newkirk. They were blessed with five children. Mary was a wonderful mother and loving caretaker. When her son Derek had a stroke six years ago she accepted the role as his caretaker and did an excellent job. She loved her family deeply and it showed in the time she spent with them. Mary enjoyed playing video games and sports with her children as well. It was important to Mary that she was present and she greatly enjoyed making memories with them. She was a basketball fan and also very creative. Her hobbies included working on craft projects, such as woodworking and bead-work. Spending time on the farm and collecting cow figurines were also some of her favorite pastimes. She is greatly loved and will be missed in the lives of many.
Her family includes her husband Claude Prusa of the home; daughter, Shelly Brown and her husband Darryl of Garber; three sons, Derek Prusa of Red Rock, Christopher Prusa and fiancé Crystal of Perry, Branden Prusa and his wife Sarah Prusa of Lone Wolf and daughter Lori Miller and her husband Dalton of Perry; grandchildren, Colton Neely, Brianna Neely, Ryan Neely, Jaxon Neely, Kaylee Jane Prusa, Kristin Prusa, Miley Prusa, Bentley Prusa, Kaiden Prusa, Kerri Prusa, Hailey Miller, Joshua Miller and Alyssa
Miller. She is also survived by one sister, Susan Novotny of Owasso. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim Panach and John Panach.
A graveside service will be held at Red Rock Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 16, with Rev. Jimmy Kenner officiating. The family will serve as casket bearers.
