Mary Gattenby

(June 22, 1942 – January 20, 2017)

Mary Daisey Belle (Angus) Gattenby passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Stillwater Medical Center. She was 74 years old. Mary was born on June 22, 1942 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to her parents, Ed Wilminor and Saxon Maybelle (Cochran) Angus. Mary Belle married Fred Wayne Gattenby on June 2, 1960 shortly after they both graduated from Stillwater High School.

Mary worked as a bookkeeper for Sonja’s flowers for many years and, later, worked as a clerk at Drug Warehouse. She enjoyed doing puzzles and reading as well as crossword puzzles.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son, Glen and his wife, Wendy (Wilson) Gattenby.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Gattenby of Ponca City, brother, Ed and his wife, Pam Angus of New Jersey, daughter, Durenda and husband, Bill Meyer of Kernersville, North Carolina, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial ceremony for Mary Belle will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Ponca City on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
