Louise Sisco was born on April 20th 1935 at her country home in Terlton, Ok near Cleveland, Ok to Jessie Francis White and Lola Velma Scott White.
Louise went to Terlton School for kindergarten. Her grandmother Scott lived there with her parents at that time. At recess and lunch Louise would go visit them (sometimes taking a friend with her). She listened for the five minute bell and then hurried back to school. Louise was very close to her grandma Scott.
Louise was six when her sister Dorothy was born in the same country home. In 1942, at age 7, Louise’s family moved to Ponca City, Ok because her Daddy got a job on the railroad. Then later he went to work at Conoco for 33 years before he died in 1966.
When Louise was 8 or 9 they bought a home on first street in Ponca City. Louise’s brother Harold was born in 1944 when she was 9 ½ years old while living in this home. There was a railroad track in the back oth their house. When relatives came and stayed all night the train would wake them up. They would ask “How do you sleep?” We told them you just get used to it! Nothing woke Louise up, not trains or storms, until she had her first child. Then she became a light sleeper.
Louise loved to play jacks (usually with her friend and neighbor Joan). She had fun with all the neighbor children; they played in Louise’s back yard most of the time.
Louise attended Ponca City Schools starting at age 7. She graduated from Ponca City High school in 1954.
Louise was married in 1955 at age 20 to Olen Dee Sisco. They had four Sons, Michael Sisco, Howard Sisco, Gary Sisco and Allen Sisco and one daughter, Debra Sisco Wright all of Ponca City. Needless to say she kept busy.
Louise and Olen divorced after 19 years of marriage in 1974.
Louise raised her children earning a living as a housekeeper. She retired from Ponca City Hospital after serving over 25 years.
She was always active in church from the time her family moved to Ponca City when Louise was a young child. She loved taking care of her grandchildren, reading, writing poetry and watching movies.
Louise is survived by her 5 children Michael, Howard, Gary, Allen Sisco and Debra Sisco Wright and Spouse Jeffrey Wright of Ponca City.
