April 21, 1935 – February 6, 2024
Luella Irene Seeliger, 88, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on February 6, 2024, to be with her Heavenly family and our Heavenly Father. Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2024, and from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in Ponca City OK, with Pastor Joseph Highley officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Luella was born on April 21, 1935, in Borger, TX, to Robert Eugene and Edith Marie (Brewer) Nicholson. She lived near Borger in Phillips, TX, for ten years, then in Lajunta, CO, for two years before moving to Shamrock, OK. Luella was active in many school activities, enjoyed playing basketball in high school and was crowned Basketball Queen. She graduated from Shamrock High School in Shamrock, OK, in 1953. Luella married Jack Talbott in 1955. She worked at Oil Well Supply in Ponca City immediately after high school for several years and retired as an Engineering Clerk with Southwestern Bell. She was active at First Christian Church and later at First Lutheran Church. In 1980, she married Paul Seeliger. She and Paul loved living in Ponca City and were very active in the community with many friends and their church family. The two loved to trout fish and travel, one of their favorite destinations being Las Vegas, though they did travel all over the US. She was also a member of Eastern Star. Luella will be remembered for her faith in God and love for her family. She enjoyed all of her family immensely.
Luella is survived by: her children, Tony Talbott and husband Jim Dyer, of Broken Arrow, OK, Kevin Talbott of Farmington, NM, Susan Seeliger Bostick of Oklahoma City, OK, Tammy Seeliger Hill and her husband, Terry Hill, of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Mark Talbott and husband, Casey Snell, of Oklahoma City, OK, Andrew Talbott and his wife, Missy, of Virginia Beach, VA, Ryan Raffety of Oklahoma City, OK, Austin Hill and his wife, Brittany, of Little Rock, AR, Cole Hill of Little Rock, AR, Jessica Dyer and Jared Heskett of Bartlesville OK, Jaclyn Dyer Neftzger and her husband, Korben, of Tulsa OK; great-grandchildren, Rowyn Hill of Little Rock, AR, Noah, Cora, Callen and Copelin Talbott of Virginia Beach VA, Jonnie Heskett of Bartlesville, OK; brother, Mike Nicholson and his wife, Helen, of Drummond, OK; sister-in-law, Marj Seeliger; nieces Jennifer and Natalie Nicholson of Drumond OK; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband Jack Talbott and husband Paul Seeliger; parents, Eugene and Edith Nicholson; sister, Julia Ann Nicholson; and brother, Robert Nicholson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Andrew Talbott, Mark Talbott, Austin Hill, Cole Hill, Ryan Raffety and Casey Snell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran School, 1104 N 4th St, Ponca City, OK 74601.
